Three ingredient, sweet and refreshing watermelon mocktail without any alcohol.

Hot summer days means watermelon, especially here in Florida.

Since there isn’t any alcohol, this drink is great for kids as well!

Yes, you can certainly add vodka, tequila or even gin to this drink but sometimes a nice alcohol-free beverage is quite nice!

Watermelon is at its peak during the summer months. There are many varieties of melon available, always sweet and vibrant.

If you are having a party or simply want something sweet and refreshing, it’s good to have this mocktail recipe on hand.

It only requires a 3-4 ingredients and a blender!

Watermelon is also so good for our bodies.

It is high in vitamin C, vitamin A and contains many other healthy plant compounds.

Since watermelon has high water content and it helps with keeping he body hydrated.

The vitamin C in this fruit is an antioxidant that helps prevent cell damage from free radicals.

Adding a bit of lime juice helps balance the sweetness of this drink.

If you like it a bit more in a sweet side, add a bit of honey.

Lastly, to make this a mocktail we are adding effervescence with sparkling water.

Steps

1
Done

Chop The Watermelon

Cut your watermelon into thick wedges then remove the skin and chop into cubes.

Add the watermelon cubes to a blender.

Blend & Strain

Add the juice of 2 limes to the blender then blend for about 30 seconds.

Pour the liquid into a large jug fitted with a fine mesh strainer to catch the pulp. I usually strain twice.

Next, taste the juice. If it needs more sweetness add honey and if needs more citrus, add more lime juice then blend again.

Once it's at your desired taste, add sparkling or soda water and stir with a spoon.

3
Done

Serve

To serve, pour the watermelon mocktail over ice and serve with a lime wedge.

Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
