Ingredients
- 7 ounces Plain Greek Yogurt
- 1 Lemon
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- 0.3 cup, grated Cucumber
- 0.5 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 0.25 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
Directions
Jazz up your plain greek yogurt by making Tzatziki!
Tzatziki is easy and quick to make. It’s commonly used in Mediterranean cuisine and pairs well with falafel, chicken, fish, roasted veggies and more!
For a quick snack, I also love using it as a dip with fresh vegetables like cucumber, carrots or healthy chips!
Greek yogurt is packed with probiotics which is great for gut health! I recommend buying whole milk instead of the non-fat versions. Non-fat yogurt usually have added sugar and are more processed.
This tzatziki sauce pairs well with these recipes:
Chickpea Falafel Patties
Roasted Vegetables
Sweet Potato & Quinoa Cakes
Steps
1 Done | Grab a BowlFirst, wash and grate your cucumber using a box grater then grate or mince the peeled garlic cloves. I like using my garlic press or microplane grater to grate the garlic. Grab a bowl and add the greek yogurt, the juice of 1 lemon, grated cucumber and the finely minced or grated garlic. Mix then add salt and pepper. Stir well then give it a taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Eat right away or allow the flavors to develop in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. |

I absolutely love tzatziki and your recipe sounds delicious!
I love Tzatziki! I confess to being lazy and buying it already made but you have inspired me to make your recipe.
I prefer ‘scratch’ recipes anyway but we love this tasty sauce so will enjoy making it! Thanks.
I used to make but got out of the habit. Time to get back to it!
Love how cultural food overlap each other. Indian food has similar side called Raita! The difference is of the type of yoghurt used and garlic!! Food is fascinating
I love the idea of using this as a dip for veggies. Perfect for summer!
