Summer bring warm temperatures and bright colored smoothies!

These healthy smoothies are a great breakfast or snack option and are very refreshing.

They are also great for adding more vitamins and nutrients to your breakfast and start you day off right!

My two favorite summer smoothies are the Vitamin C Boost Smoothie and the Everyday Green Smoothie.

I love adding superfoods like chia seeds, maca powder and bee pollen to my smoothie. These ingredients help boost my immune system, balance my mood, and help with overall health.

Learn more about these ingredients below!

Steps

Done

Vitamin C Boost Smoothie

Add all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

Let's talk about komucha and the bee pollen.

Kombucha is a fermented beverage of tea and sugar and contains a colony of bacteria and yeast that are responsible for initiating the fermentation process once combined with sugar.

After being fermented, kombucha becomes carbonated and contains vinegar, b-vitamins, enzymes, probiotics and a high concentration of acid.

Kombucha has great health benefits including immune support, cancer prevention, cleansing & detoxification, and more.

Bee pollen...yes, don't be scared!

It is considered one of nature's most completely nourishing foods as it is protein rich and contains amino acids.

It enhances energy, treats allergies, helps the digestive system, also boosts the immune system, and a ton more.

Everyday Green Smoothie

Add all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

I recently started adding maca powder whenever I get the chance to.

It is a root grown in the mountains of Peru and some call it the Peruvian Ginseng.

Maca is rich in vitamin B, C, and E and also provides plenty of calcium, zinc, iron, magnesium and amino acids.

Adding this superfood to your diet helps with overall health including bones, teeth, skin, energy, and mood balance.

Most of you have probably heard of or tried chia seed pudding already and after making chia seed pudding 20 different ways, I finally decided to also add it to my smoothies or sprinkle it on top of salads.

These tiny seeds are high in Omega-3 fatty acids and are loaded with other nutrients that have important benefits for the body and brain.
