4-ingredient, vibrant summer smoothie bowls that is packed with fruit!

During the warmer months we all want something cool and sweet.

These colorful and fruit sweetened summer smoothie bowls are pretty much a healthy ice cream in a bowl!

Though the thick and creamy smoothie is delicious on its own, the toppings is what makes a smoothie bowl so special.

Top with fresh fruit and hemp hearts for extra nutrition and protein. Granola also makes for a great crunchy topping.

Keep it dairy free by using your favorite non-dairy milk. I love using my homemade almond milk.

Smoothie bowls have been around for a long time and I was curious to find out who invented them!

With a quick google search I found out that in the 80’s, legendary Brazilian Jujitsu founder Carlos Gracie who popularized the acai bowl in southern cities like Rio de Janiero is likely the source of the smoothie bowl.

As with most food trends, social media is what made beautiful and vibrant smoothie bowls what they are today!

There’s nothing more mesmerizing that watching videos of thick, creamy and colorful smoothies being blended in the blender.

Try a beautifully Green Smoothie Bowl that has both vegetables and fruit!
