Easy, 4 ingredient vibrant and spicy tomato vodka cocktail!

Think of a bloody mary but made simple and more refreshing.

Tomato juice was first served as a beverage in 1917 by Louis Perrin at the French Lick Springs Hotel in southern Indiana, when he ran out of orange juice and needed a quick substitute!

The sweet tomato juice mixed with the spicy jalapeño is a winning combo.

To add effervescence, adding club soda is the way to go. Unlike tonic, club soda is not sweet and more neutral.

This way it adds bubbles without taking away from the tomato and jalapeño flavor.

Make it boozy by adding vodka or leave out the alcohol for a mocktail!

This cocktail recipe is made in a mixing glass then poured over ice.

I am using a store-bought tomato juice for this recipe but you can also use homemade.

Since this cocktail uses minimal ingredients, I recommend buying high quality tomato juice and organic jalapeño.

A USDA organic tomato juice that only had 1 ingredient – tomatoes, is best.

With this method it allowed you to easily make small or larger quantities.

Serve this spicy tomato vodka cocktail at your next summer gathering for brunch, lunch or a BBQ!

I would love to see your recreation! Take a picture of your drink and share it with me on Instagram!
