Roasted Garlic Parmesan Green Beans

These perfectly roasted garlic parmesan green beans are packed with umami and texture.

The recipe comes together in minutes and the cooking is done in the oven.

All you will need are 6 ingredients, 1 large bowl and a large baking sheet.

I personally love green beans as they are vibrant in color, pair well with any dish and easily retain their crunch when cooked properly.

Green beans are also a good source of vitamins and minerals and can also be consumed raw!

Though the freshly grated parmesan does take this side dish to the next level.

However, if you want to keep it dairy-free, substitute for vegan parmesan cheese or nutritional yeast.

Be sure to use a large, rimmed baking sheet so that you are able to roast the green beans in one layer for even roasting.

Washing your green beans before cooking is always a good idea.

I like to dry them a bit but not fully so that they first steam a bit in the oven before the roasting process begins.

You can use any olive oil for this recipe. Avocado oil is also great as the flavor is neutral and it can stand up to the high heat of the oven.

If your oven runs cool, roast at 410°F. I do not recommend any higher temperature as the garlic tends to burn easily.

Every oven is different so keep your eye on the green beans and toss them at least once for even roasting.

You can also make this recipe in a large skillet then garnish with parmesan at the end.

This recipe will work with both regular green beans and French beans.

Preheat the Oven to 400°F

Prep a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat your oven.

Combine The Ingredients

Wash and lightly dry the green beans. Cut off any hard ends.

Add the green beans to a large bowl, drizzle with the olive oil, add the minced garlic, freshly grated parmesan cheese, salt and black pepper.

Using tongs, toss to combine then transfer to the prepared baking sheet.

Spread out into one even layer.

Roast the green beans in your preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until tender.

Give the baking sheet a shake about half-was through the roasting process.

Transfer the roasted garlic parmesan green beans to a serving platter and serve as a side to your meal.

Refrigerate any leftovers in an air-tight container for up to 3 days.
