This green “Frankenstein” inspired Halloween smoothie is easy to make and super nutritious.

A 5-ingredient, sweet and vibrant smoothie recipe that is fully plant-based.

Make this green smoothie a protein packed smoothie by adding in your favorite protein powder.

As with any good smoothie, it starts with a liquid base. I prefer using a dairy free milk like unsweetened almond milk.

Alternatively, you can also use orange juice or water!

For that vibrant green color, I like using baby spinach leaves.

I’m a huge believer in eating your greens, whether it’s kale, spinach, or any other type of DLG (dark leafy green).

Spinach is packed with fiber, vitamins and minerals that aid with eye health, reduce stress and blood pressure!

To make it sweet, I like adding a banana. It also adds volume and makes this smoothie very filling.

For a healthy fat, avocado is great. Just like the banana it also makes this smoothie creamy.

To balance the flavors and add a kick of vitamin C, kiwi is a great addition.

Kiwi adds a bit of acidity plus it’s keeping the green theme!

If you are not a fan of kiwi, pineapple chunks (fresh or frozen) or lemon juice are also great.
