Directions
Getting spooky with these Halloween asparagus mummies!
This recipe is so easy to make and plant-based.
It only reacquires a handful of ingredients and one key store-bought ingredient.
Original crescent rolls are accidentally vegan and create that fun mummy look.
Plus, who doesn’t love vegetables wrapped in flaky dough!
You can use any vegetable spears for this recipe but I love the vibrant green and tender asparagus.
Pro tip for the asparagus is to cut off the hard ends and use a vegetates peeler to peel the tough bottom half of the spears.
What makes this recipe complete are the candy eyes. I personally do not eat them as they are just for decoration purposes.
The wrapped asparagus are delicious as is but serving along side a dipping sauce is always better.
For this, I love it with a simple garlic aioli.
The garlic aioli has just 4 ingredients and is mixed together in a bowl.
Don’t skip out on the fresh lemon juice as it thins out the sauce, adds acidity and cuts the richness of this mayo based sauce.
Holiday themed recipes are so fun to make and look impressive to your guests!
