- 0.5 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
- 1 Lemon
Directions
Beautifully green grilled asparagus.
Green asparagus is a commonly in season February through June and widely available.
Grilling this beautiful vegetable is not only easy but results in a very flavorful side dish.
Since the grill is set to a high heat, the vegetable is cooked but still has a bite to it.
An outdoor grill will add that bit of smokiness to the green asparagus, which is why I love adding freshly squeezed lemon juice at the end.
The lemon juice adds a fresh and zingy bite.
With the seasoning, you can use whatever you have on hand and love!
This recipe is keeping it simple with just salt and black pepper.
The grilled asparagus can be served warm or at room temperature.
Any leftovers are recommended to store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Steps
1 Done | Preheat The GrillPreheat grill to 350º - 400º F and brush grill grates clean. Wash, dry and trim ends of asparagus. Place asparagus in a shallow bowl or pan and drizzle with olive oil then season with salt and pepper. Toss the spears with your hands to coat and distribute the oil and seasoning. Using tongs, place the asparagus on the prepared grill perpendicular to the grate bars. Grill with lid closed for 6-10 minutes or until spears are tender and crisp. Use the tongs to roll the spears for even grill marks. Transfer to serving plate and if desired add a squeeze of lemon, if desired. |
