Ingredients
- 1 cup (frozen into ice cubes) Orange Juice
- 6 ounces Aperol
- 4 ounces Sparkling Water
- 4 ounces Prosecco
- 1 Orange
Directions
Add a new spin on a classic with this frozen aperol spritz cocktail.
If this Italian apéritif is what you are planning on drinking this summer, this frozen version is even better!
Drinks over ice are refreshing and visually stunning. The one negative is that it does dilute your drink as the ice is melting.
If you are in a hot climate, that ice melts very fast.
So this fix this issue is to make a blended, slushy type version.
To make this frozen aperol even better, I am using orange juice ice cubes instead of regular ice cubes!
You can use store-bought or freshly squeezed orange juice that is poured into an ice cube tray and frozen overnight.
Even after the drink is blended, you can store it in the refrigerator to keep it cool then simply pour into glasses and top off with prosecco.
This is the perfect solution for making a bigger batch for a party!
If you prefer to keep it alcohol-free, there is an alternative for you.
Make it a mocktail by using a non-alcoholic apéritif, and skip the processo. To add that effervescence, top off the drink with a sparkling water or tonic.
