Sweet, rich and coffee forward espresso martini!

This recipe is easy to make, only requires 4 ingredients plus ice and is dairy free!

First created in the early eighties by London bartender Dick Bradsel, this cocktail came about when a famous model who entered the Soho Brasserie asked him to create a drink that would “wake me up”.

Sweet treats with coffee flavor hold a special place in my heart.

I love using my Nespresso machine and two capsules of Besso Coffee for fresh and aromatic espresso.

Besso uses hand picked coffee berries that are from exotic farms in the Huila region of Colombia. Their specialty espresso beans are amongst some of the most rich and distinct tasting beans you can find in Colombia.

As a medium roast with notes of dark chocolate, nuts and caramel it is the perfect coffee for this martini.

The three most important aspects for the perfect espresso martini are ,using fresh espresso, good ice cubes and shaking the cocktail shaker really well, for 30 seconds!

If you like yours a bit more creamy, you can add some baileys but I recommend you try it like this first.

Pour Into Cocktail Glass

Next, strain and pour into your desired cocktail glass.

When shaken properly, the mixture will be very foamy and as the espresso sits, the foam rises to the top.

Lastly, garnish with freshly grated nutmeg and chocolate if desired!
