A dirty date shake that is sweet, refreshing and has a boost of caffeine from espresso!

This dairy and refined sugar free shake is so good, you’ll think it’s a dessert!

Naturally sweetened with dates, this smoothie is a great pick me up any time of the day.

Dates are very nutritious and contain fiber, protein, magnesium, iron and more!

Getting enough fiber is important to our overall health.

The fiber from the dates can benefit the digestive health by preventing constipation and it promotes regular bowel movements.

Fresh medjool dates are great and I recommend buying the ones with the pit as it keeps them fresher longer.

Look for plump and soft dates that are not dry.

We’re keeping it dairy free with my homemade almond milk but you can use any kind of milk you like.

This dirty date shake also tasted great with soy milk, oat milk or even hemp milk!

You can also add a scoop of your preferred protein or collagen powder to this shake.

It is a great snack before or after a workout – or if you are like me, that perfect 2pm pick-me-up during a busy work day.

Blending the ingredients with ice cubes makes this drink incredible refreshing.

You can also serve it over ice for a thinner consistency.

Easy, just 5 ingredients and less than 3 minutes to make!

Collagen Powder and almond butter for some great nutrients, yes! This is a great option for getting away from the sugary, pricey beverages out there!

This looks like a delicious and dare I say healthy alternative to a frappuccino – I can’t wait to try this in the morning, thanks!!

Such a delicious idea!! I grew up having these in Carlsbad, where date shakes started. And when we owned our ice cream shop, this was one of our flavors! But not with the coffee, again: such a great idea Joni! SO delicious!!
