Savory, slightly sweet and very creamy tahini dressing to dress your salad.
This recipe has 5 ingredients, is so easy to make and is dairy free!
Though I usually make this dressings for salads, it also makes for a great sauce to dip bread into or other recipes.
If you have never used tahini before, it is a great ingredient to always have on hand.
Tahini or also known as tahina is a Middle Eastern condiment made from toasted ground hulled sesame. Think of it like a creamy peanut utter but made with sesame seeds!
It is served by itself or as a major ingredient in hummus, baba ghanoush, and halva. Tahini is used in the cuisines of the Levant and Eastern Mediterranean, the South Caucasus, as well as parts of North Africa.
This creamy tahini dressing has the perfect mix of creamy, silky, sour and sweet.
I love watching the magic of tahini and water result in the most silky dressing then season with lemon, salt, black pepper and a bit of maple if desired!
Make this dressing with my Chickpea Salad, Citrus and Kale Salad, or any salad you like.
Steps
1 Done | Mix Tahini with WaterAdd 1/2 cup of tahini to a bowl along with 1-2 Tablespoons of water. Mix with a whisk or fork until the it thickens and gets lighter in color. Hi Michelle! I recommend 1-2 tablespoons per serving but it all depends on how big your portion is 🙂
