A pretty box filled with holiday cookies is what I want for Christmas this year!
There is nothing better than receiving a homemade and edible gift for the holidays.
For a pretty looking cookie box, make a variety of cookies and fill the gaps with chocolate or nuts.
No store-bought cookie will ever compare to a homemade version.
I am sure all of my food blogger friends would agree!
Here is a quick recipe roundup for all of my favorite holiday cookie recipes.
You will find all kinds of cookies, from the classic snicker doodle, to a vegan ginger molasses, a gluten free ginger bread and the festive chocolate peppermint cookie!
Since an in-person cookie exchange is sadly not possible, I am sharing my friend’s recipes here instead!
Some are gluten-free, refined-sugar free, egg and dairy free but always packed with flavor and holiday cheer!
Growing up, my mom, sister and I loved making cookies during the holidays. It got messy but was always so much fun!
Sugar cookies, shortbread and jam filled cookies were my favorite.
Cookies are always so nostalgic and carry on traditions.
Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Bodhi Day or simply holiday cheer, baking and eating cookies will get you into the mood!
