This holiday apple spice bundt cake is easy to make and visually stunning.

Packed with those warm fall and winter spices, this bundt cake is dairy and egg-free.

A bundt cake pan is great for cakes as it’s aesthetically pleasing with the pattern, tall and always bakes evenly!

To replace the eggs, this cake uses apple sauce. The apple sauce has that moisture that a cake replies on as well as the apple flavor.

Nowadays, you can find vegan butter at any grocery store but you can also use a neutral oil.

As with any cake recipe, it starts by mixing together the fat and sugar until it gets pale and fluffy.

For the spices, I am using cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.

If you don’t want to purchase all of these spices, you can simply use pumpkin spice!

I’ve kept this cake simple but you can also ass chopped pecans, walnuts or small and peeled apple chunks if you like added texture.

For the icing, I simply mix together powdered sugar, apple sauce and fresh lemon juice.

The lemon juice cuts through the sweetness and is necessary.

You can also pair this apple spice bundt cake with your favorite ice cream!

Steps

1

Make The Cake

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

In a large bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and spices. Set aside.

In another large mixing bowl, mix together the softened vegan butter and sugar until pale in color and fluffy. Next, add in the apple sauce and mix again until incorporated.

Next, add in about 1/3 of the dry ingredients then a bit of the almond milk. Repeat until all ingredients are incorporated.

Grease a bundt cake form with vegan butter then pour in the cake batter.

Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a wooden skewer inserted into the cake comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the bundt cake form for at least 15 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Make the Icing

To make the icing, add the powdered sugar with the apple sauce and lemon juice to a large bowl and whisk until all of the powdered sugar has been incorporated.

Drizzle the icing onto the cooled bundt cake and serve.
