Once citrus season starts, I stock up. Not only do oranges, lemons, grapefruits and the like have so many health benefits but they are also very versatile for cooking. I love them for making salad dressings, sauces, desserts and smoothies!
In homage to my love for citrus, here is my super healthy Orange Grapefruit Smoothie. It is a great source of vitamin-C, probiotic and antioxidants.
Grab Your Blender
Add the juice of 1 orange and the juice of 1 grapefruit to your blender along with all of the other ingredients then blend on high until smooth.
If you choose to add the turmeric, I highly recommend adding the black pepper too as the turmeric does not get absorbed efficiently in the body without it. In order for your body to really take in all of the health benefits turmeric has to offer, black pepper must be added.
